When we learned that Kayla and Alex had begun their journey together at a hot air balloon festival, we were so inspired to find a way to incorporate this fanciful image, as well as their love of travel, into their elegant Holy Ghost Church wedding, with the wedding reception at the Denver University Club. Our imagination ran free as we conjured up a dozen ways to bring this flight of fancy into the decor and overall feel of the wedding. The crowning jewel was a beautiful lighted hanging hot air balloon sculpture created by Scott Hittleman, of Lighting by Scott, which we hand draped with fabric in the couple’s colors of cream, purple, and gold, and festooned with flowers.
The balloon hung directly over the dance floor, and added such magic to the rich wooded atmosphere of the beautiful University Club. We added touches of whimsy throughout – vintage travel postcards we scattered on the dinner tables, vintage suitcases held the cake and escort cards, and hot air balloon cake pops complemented the cake table. Kayla herself made adorable hot air balloon centerpieces, which were filled with flowers by Love Letters Floral. We also wanted to honor Alex’s recent graduation from the firefighter academy and added something just for him – a getaway transportation in the form of a vintage firetruck! The couple had huge fun cruising downtown Denver in the open air cab!

How do you soften up an industrial building? You add drape, lights, fuchsia, and a touch of sparkle! Working with Emily and Neil was such a fun process. Emily had an idea of a modern sparking wedding and Neil wanted to do everything possible to make sure she was wowed on their wedding day.
Yards of silver drape flowed from the walls as bistro lights drew the eye to the ceiling. Two hundred glass orbs with twinkle lights brought visual interest to the room. Deep blue linens with a silver sparkle runner set an amazing stage for solid fuchsia floral centerpieces. Guests enjoyed an amazing dinner and danced the night away under the lights!
It was a pleasure to work with Emily and Neil. We wish them a lifetime of happiness!

We loved working with Stephanie and Sam for their completely unique wedding in downtown Denver. The edgy collided with softness for this devastatingly beautiful bride and her lovely details. Steph loved whimsical and swirly patterns, while Sam preferred sharp angles and bold lines.
Thanks to the amazing Plum Sage Flowersand their team, they were able to pull this off in the details. From the graphic linens, to the soft lush florals, there was a marriage of their style preferences at every turn!
Stephanie’s couture purple gown was a hand-drawn by the bride herself and created by the fabulous Alisa Benay. Steph also created her necklace, which fell delicately down her back (and coordinated with the dress, of course!)
The lovely ceremony was at St Thomas Episcopal Church, where the girls wore long black gowns and had amazing hair and makeup done by Natosha Cooke Makeup Artistry.
We loved the art-inspired dishes created by the chefs at Catering by Design that paired perfectly with the stunning cake by Intricate Icings, in the setting of their reception at ArtWork Network on Santa Fe.
Thanks to the amazing team at This Modern Life for these images! You can also see their fabulous ultra modern Denver engagement photos on our blog. Planning and design by Gabby at Save the Date Events.
We loved working with Kelsey and Jeremy to plan their winter wedding in downtown Denver. After researching many venues, they chose the Central Presbyterian Church for the ceremony and the University Club for their reception. We worked together to develop a blue and silver color palette and incorporated a tree motif into the design. We truly enjoyed working with these two and wish them the absolute best wishes.

We are so in love with this couple and their absolutely stunning Denver wedding! We worked with Sarah and Chris for the past year to plan their wedding in downtown Denver. Guests were transported via luxury coach to the Denver ceremony site at Cheesman Park Pavilion. This stunning pavilion fit perfectly with their old-world-Hollywood-style wedding. The bride and groom departed the ceremony in a classic Rolls Royce. Sarah and Chris are huge Colorado Rockies fans and made a stop at Coors Field for photos after the ceremony. They pre-purchased tickets so the entire bridal party could join them inside. They made such an entrance that they were featured on the Jumbotron!
Guests returned to the Westin Tabor Center for a fabulous cocktail hour and four course seated dinner. After dinner, guests enjoyed sumptuous wedding cake, a photo booth and a popcorn bar while they danced the night away. Thank you Sarah and Chris for being so wonderful to work with and for having the perfect vision of your wedding day. You can see more of their incredible Denver wedding photos on Paige Elizabeth’s blog.
