Rikki and Matt had dreams of a modern, fresh wedding with a dash of Texas thrown in and that is exactly what we gave them! The bright blue vases with coral flowers created a simple bright statement on the tables. Blue glass water pitchers served as unique table numbers. Guests enjoyed fun games on the patio for cocktail hour including custom corn hole and a giant custom Jenga game. After a sumptuous steak dinner (a “must” if you are from Texas), fabulous cake, dancing and then a s’mores station. The bride created personalized s’mores kits that we used as escort cards and favors. We placed the couples engagement photos in mason jars with candles so all of the guests could enjoy their fabulous pictures. Rikki and Matt’s love for each other was contagious and it was a true honor to be part of this wonderful wedding.
We had the pleasure of working with Ka and Adam as they set out to plan the perfect Colorado destination wedding celebration for their families from overseas. Many of our meetings were done over Skype and we only met in person once before the wedding. In the many conversations we had with the couple, we knew that they wanted this wedding to reflect who they are as a couple and the love that they have for their families.
Ka and Adam got engaged when they were on a safari in Africa. Since their families couldn’t experience their engagement with them we decided to bring a little bit of Africa to the wedding. Guests sat at tables marked by hand carved wood animals from Africa. The couple wanted to make sure that all of their 35 guests knew how special they were to them and we did this by giving flowers to each guest and had everyone walk in the processional. It was a true joy to watch people’s reactions as I handed them each a flower.
All children were asked to circle around Ka and Adam at the end of the ceremony and in unison the kids all pronounced Ka and Adam husband and wife. We used water lilies in the floral design to remember Ka’s sister who passed away. The entertainment for the night came in the form of food from Blackbelly Catering. Ka and Adam are self proclaimed “foodies” so the meal was very important. Chef Hosea introduced every course and wowed the guests with his farm to table wedding menu.
Thank you for letting us be part of your family for the past year. We wish you all the best!
It was so much fun planning Carrie and Derek’s wedding! We love their sense of humor and zest for life. Della Terra was the backdrop for this beautiful Colorado wedding. The weather was absolutely perfect and Carrie and Derek said their vows at the beautiful outside ceremony location. Herb, better known as Herbie the Love Judge, kept the theme of humor running through the ceremony while imparting words of wisdom on this beautiful couple.
The ceremony was set to music provide by Sure Thing Entertainment, the ring bearer pulled the flower girl in an adorable red wagon as Carrie prepared to walk down the aisle. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails and appetizers on the deck at Della Terra.
Guests were invited into a beautiful ballroom with tables decorated in deep purple and brown satin linens. PlumSage brought the outside indoors with aspen birch centerpieces. We also brought nature inside by using pine cones as escort card holders.
Guest enjoyed the most creative variety of action stations that I have ever seen at a wedding, from the “Brinner station” (breakfast for dinner), which had waffles on a stick and chocolate syrup, to the mac and cheese bar, guests enjoyed the tasty treats provided by Footers Catering.
The cake was equally unique, they had a cake that looked like an Aspen tree but was topped with a bride and groom gummy bear couple. Accompanying the wedding cake was a grooms cake that was a glass of Guinness that depicted the groom floating in the beer with his dog, Dbar desserts did an outstanding job on the cake designs. After dinner, it was time for dancing with Raising Cain Band. The guests worked up an appetite for the beautiful candy buffet provide by Pink Posey and a late night chocolate fountain. Jason+Gina and 1321 studios did an amazing job with photography and video production. Planning and design by Save the Date Events.
Kate and Kevin are arguably one of the most adorable couples in the world! It was so much fun working with these two on their light, airy, and happy wedding this past August at Della Terra. For their colors, soft champagne provided an excellent backdrop for bold, bright hues of red and orange. These colors emanated from every detail, from the linens and centerpieces to the bridesmaids’ dresses and shoes—even to the wedding cake, which was inspired by Kate’s gorgeous wedding dress.
It was the little things made this wedding very memorable. For example, because Kevin’s birthday was the day after the wedding, Kate surprised him with a rubix cube birthday cake (an iconic symbol of the groom’s childhood). That moment, and many others, made this wedding a true original. Special thanks go to Rachael Grace Photography for capturing those moments. Congrats Kate and Kevin!
Rachael and Kanit were married in June at the gorgeous Della Terra Mountain Chateaux. When coming up with a design for their wedding, they wanted to incorporate modern and unique style with a bit of Asian influence. We absolutely loved working with them over the past year to plan their destination wedding in Colorado. Rachael was so relaxed and easy going during the planning process. She was truly a dream to work with and we love keeping in touch with her and Kanit.
