2011 Bridal Fashion Week | Gabby’s Favorites

claire-pettibone2

This is my final post from Bridal Fashion Week from Spring 2011, and this is merely a collection of my favorites. I have always had a special place in my heart for the amazing Claire Pettibone – her dresses have such beautiful textures and draping, details and fit. With my background in fashion and apparel merchandising, I always pay close attention the way a dress fits each body. These dresses, from top to bottom, were designed by Claire Pettibone, Nicole Miller Bridal, Monique Lhuillier, Lazaro Bridal and Douglas Hannant.

Designers have gotten so intricate when it comes to designing the unique detail work on their gowns – this collection of gowns from 2011 Bridal Fashion Week impresses me. I was thinking about all the moving pieces to construction such a complex garment and the amount of time and the attention to detail! These gowns are truly heirlooms.

Thanks to pics by The Bride’s Guide from Martha Stewart Weddings, and the gowns from top to bottom are designed by Douglas Hannant BridalIan Stuart, Lazaro Bridal, Badgley Mischka and Liancarlo.

Oh sigh!!! Bridal Fashion Week has made me so excited to see an explosion of color! I love the idea of a non-white wedding gown, and have seen some beautiful designs. Aren’t these amazing dresses? I think my favorite is the pale mint green beauty by Vera Wang…From top to bottom, the designers are Oscar de la Renta, Priscilla of Boston and Vera Wang.
