Beaver Creek Wedding Planners | Park Hyatt Wedding

Monday, December 12th, 2011

I love intimate weddings! Katie and Jason invited their closest family and friends to the beautiful Park Hyatt Beaver Creek to share in their special day. Katie walked down the aisle to beautiful music created by Peek Performances, the ceremony was artfully performed by Gabrielle Woods of Mindful Marriage Consultants. Janine with Make up By Janine did an outstanding job making Katie look her best with some killer eyelashes! Plum Sage Flowers made Katie’s centerpiece vision become a reality and Jason+Gina Photography did a fabulous job documenting the day.

Katie always had her guests in mind when planning the wedding, from a wonderful meal and tasty candy bar to blankets in case they were cold.  The guests at this wedding were absolutely taken care of. After dinner, guest enjoyed a little pool in the billiards room at the Park Hyatt, it was the perfect end to a perfect day. Thank you for letting us be a part of your wedding day!  Planning and coordination by Brynn at Save the Date Events.

Beaver Creek Wedding | Sarah and John

Sarah and John’s wedding happened on a bright and sunny August day in the adorable town of Beaver Creek, Colorado. The ceremony was held at the Beaver Creek Chapel, where sunlight streamed through the large stained-glass window as they gave their vows. The beautiful bouquets and flowers were all created by the talented Plum Sage Florist.

The cocktail hour and reception were held at a beautiful private home in the Mountain Star neighborhood of Avon, Colorado and guests were transported there in shuttles provided by All Mountain Transportation. The guests enjoyed the warm night under clean white tenting provided by Colorado Party Rentals and enjoyed delicious hors d’oeuvres and dinner buffet which were created by Vail Catering Concepts. The guests danced the night away with the great tunes from the Don Watson Band - they were awesome!

Special thanks to Pettit Photography for these amazing images! Kent was incredibly professional, highly experienced and genuinely interested in capturing the intimacies of the day.

Congratulations to Sarah and John!

What Vintage Means to You - Part VII

80s-90s vintage weddings

The eighties! A time of big hair and really big shoulder pads.

The fabrics of the era were stretchy (think Lycra), shiny, glittery and exciting. Consider getting a shorter-length dress from www.eliesaab.com and www.inesdisanto.com, or one with major shoulder action. Your bridesmaids should be wearing dresses that look like those out of a 1980s prom – bright colors (hot pink! neon blue!) and lots of taffeta or satin, preferably with off-the-shoulder sleeves. Add ankle boots and short gloves and voila – you’ve made it!

Hair should be down and slightly teased, and makeup should be bold. Think of doing blue eyeshadow.

Your linens should be bright and bold colors in stretch Lycra fabric, and think of doing paper flowers instead of real ones, made out of neon-colored paper. Of course you would want to hire an 80s cover band to really set the mood, and to complete the look you could rent a black and white checkered dance floor.
