Number of years in wedding industry: 3

Favorite Wedding Detail: It is a toss up between the cake and honoring guests who could not attend. I love coming up with a way to remember those who cant be with the couple in person but are there in spirit. Things like candles or flowers to represent those people are the touches that make a wedding personal and emotional! On the other hand who doesnt love cake!

Favorite Moment at Weddings: I like to watch the groom’s face as he sees the bride walk down the isle for the first time. It is such a cool moment you can truly see love!

Favorite Colorado Venues: I love Evergreen Lake House which is where i tied the knot. I also adore Della Terra and Boettcher Mansion.

Five words that describe me: funny, creative, energetic, determined, and ambidextrous (look that baby up!)

Five words that absolutely do not describe me: boring, selfish, uptight, shy, arrogant

My Starbucks order is: iced, soy chai , with no ice. This may seem contradictory but if you get no ice then you get more soy and chai to quench your thirst!

My Hobbies and Interests: tennis, hiking, cooking, traveling, and waterskiing

We are very excited to have Brynn join our team this year!

Number of years in wedding business: 3 years

Favorite Wedding Detail: I love the personal details that let you know exactly who the bride and groom are as a couple. Anything from naming the tables after places they have traveled together to serving their guests the wine they had on their first date. I love it when a couple can add special details to their wedding that tells their story while showing off their personalities.

Favorite Moment at Weddings: This changes with every wedding for me, but I just adore the moment right after the bride and groom kiss for the first time. They face their guests with so much excitement! That is the moment when they relax and look forward to a fabulous time!

Favorite Colorado Venues: Grant Humphrey’s Mansion, and The Magnolia Hotel

Five words that describe me: Creative, Spontaneous, Compassionate, Loyal, and A (great) Listener

Name: Debbie Orwat

Number of years in wedding business: Eight years in event planning – four years of planning corporate events, four years of wedding planning

Favorite Wedding Detail:  The table. Designing the table elements from linens to chargers to centerpieces…I dream about these things. You can tie together every component …flowers, linen colors, chair style, menu cards, seating cards, favors. The options are endless.

Favorite Moment at Weddings: Five minutes before the bride walks down the aisle. I am privileged to see these moments between the bride and her father. It is such a turning point in both of their lives. I am always touched by their emotion and excitement. It also reminds me of my wedding day and spending those last minutes of single life with my dad.

Five words that describe me:  Motivated, Hard-working, Fun, Compassionate, Outgoing

Meet the Team - Danielle

Wednesday, January 14th, 2009

Name: Danielle Meyer

Number of years in the wedding business: This will be my second full season working in the wedding industry. My experience lies in the field of interior design–more specifically commercial interior design, which includes design of such things as hotels, restaurants, corporate offices, fitness clubs, hair salons and retail spaces.

Favorite wedding detail:  I love flowers! I think the right use, color, and amount of flowers can be used to accent the smallest details (like your menu card on a folded linen napkin) or become one the biggest focal points–like your centerpieces and bouquets. Flowers are one of the easiest ways to add style and color to your wedding day.

Favorite moment at weddings:  I live for the moment when the groom first sees the bride. In my opinion, there is nothing that shows the couple’s love for each other more than that simple exchange. I absolutely melt if he gets a tear!

Favorite Colorado venues:  Maroon Bells in Aspen for an outdoor mountain ceremony that will take your breath away. Botanic Gardens or Hudson Gardens as alternatives to the typical ceremony and reception spots in the Denver metro area.

Five words that describe me: Stylish, Fun, Creative, Detail-oriented, Loving and Open (I know I cheated, but the last 2 are inseparable for me!)

Five words that absolutely do not describe me: Superficial, high-maintenance, sloppy, closed-minded, dull.

My Starbucks order is:  I get sleepy on caffeine–weird, I know–so I often go for hot cocoa or tea.

My hobbies and interests:  I have made a career out of my love and interest for design. I ooze creativity, so wedding and interior design are the perfect canvas on which to create exciting designs with clients.
I also play soccer 3-4 times a week as a way to maintain balance in my life and stay in shape. I love anything athletic and outdoorsy…camping, hiking, climbing, etc. Most of my downtime is spent with my fiance and my enormous Great Dane puppy!

Meet the Team - Gabby

Wednesday, January 7th, 2009

Name: Gabriella Cavalli

Number of years in wedding business: Five years, starting with my sister’s wedding in 2004, followed by an internship, the opening of my own company and continuing education and coordination after moving to Denver. I’ve been with Save the Date Events for the past two years.
Favorite Wedding Detail: Firstly I would have to say the dress. I am a girl who loves fashion and everything to do with it. However, I don’t know if I would consider that a wedding detail-more a wedding necessity! Flowers, however, are my all time favorite part of the wedding day. Flowers can be so versatile and can make a huge difference in your décor. Not only do they smell wonderful, but a professional florist can create so many options with flowers that they can basically tie an idea into your wedding, or create the basis for your entire wedding theme.
Favorite Moment at Weddings: My favorite moment at the wedding is during the reception, after dinner and before cake. This is when the guests are happy and relaxed, chatting with friends and family, and possibly dancing. Often this is the time when the couple can truly take a moment, breath, and reflect on how their hard work and planning turned a regular day into their very own special day that will be remembered for years.
Favorite Colorado Venues: Arrowhead, Grant Humphrey’s Mansion, The Stanley Hotel

Five words that Describe me: Observant, Courteous, Creative, Happy and Loving
Five words that Absolutely do not Describe me: Strict, Rude, Boring, Up-Tight and Ignorant

My Starbucks order is: Tall Chai Tea Latte, extra milk

My Hobbies and Interests: Spending time with my friends and family, walking my dogs and shopping!
