Allix and Nate have been wonderful to work with! We are planning their wedding at Planet Bluegrass on 4th of July weekend, 2011. Every time I spend time with them (attempting to work), I end up spending half of it laughing hysterically. Seriously amazing couple.

We absolutely love these fabulous Denver engagement pictures taken at the Botanical Gardens! We are working with Kari and John to plan their entire wedding in two months. We started planning in late May and the wedding is on July 31st. We are having a great time with Kari, John and Kari’s daughter Isabel. We aren’t sure if the adults or the kids will have more fun at the wedding with a special kid’s buffet, balloons, paddle boats, an ice cream sundae bar and cupcakes. I met Betina and Ken for the first time last year, right before the Holiday Season. The adorable bride is from Venezuela, and is marrying the charming Ken – who is from Michigan. This couple has been a delight to work with, from their creative and inspiring wedding menu with wine pairings, to their black tie affair to the very touching special moments to remember after the wedding. Amanda and Mike are planning their brunch wedding for a Sunday morning in April at the gorgeous Rembrandt Yard. We have been working together for almost a year, and I love this couple! We are planning some exciting details and are elegantly using sunflowers throughout gallery where floor to ceiling windows allow a ton of sun light in.

1. Dress in a way that makes you feel good. If you are most comfortable in jeans, wear your favorite pair. There is no “right” or “wrong” way to dress but keep in mind that extra tight or extra baggy are not going to be your best choices for photos. Generally, solid prints with fun accessories photograph well. Bold prints and patterns tend to take over the focus of the photo.
2. With #1 in mind, you also want to dress in a similar style to your fiancé. If you wear jeans, he shouldn’t be wearing a suit.
3. Can’t decide on one outfit? Bring a few. It’s okay to change mid-way through the photo shoot. Two outfits are good. Five are too many.
4. Wear make-up. Even if you don’t usually wear any, at least consider mascara and lip gloss. The camera makes your everyday make-up seem like you aren’t wearing any so add a little extra on the day of your engagement photos or splurge on a professional to apply your make-up.
5. Bring your pet. If your dog is a big part of your life, bring your furry friend for a few photos.
