I started Save the Date Events in 2005 after becoming certified as a planner, working with other event planners and getting involved in the local events industry. One of the biggest reasons that we have built an incredible reputation at Save the Date Events is because we care so much. We care deeply about our clients and will do whatever it takes to create the event they have been dreaming of.
A note from Debbie
I have been privileged to design weddings and special events at some of the most beautiful locations in Colorado. It is truly an honor to share this incredible time of celebration with our clients. I am passionate about events AND about Colorado. I can’t imagine living anywhere else. I spend my free weekends visiting different mountain towns to hike, ski, climb and explore the local restaurants. I’m always scouting new wedding and event locations and take time every month to tour venues so that we have the latest knowledge of Colorado venues, hotels, ranches, and private homes. When I’m not working on events, hiking a mountain, or skiing, I love to read, travel, play with my pup, hang out with my sidekick (i.e. my 7 year old daughter) and spend as much time as possible with my wonderful husband.
I tend to develop close relationships with my clients and have been known to shed a happy tear or two on the wedding day. I am always smiling ear-to-ear when a child walks into his or her birthday party that we helped plan and design. We all strive to go the extra mile to ensure your experience with Save the Date Events surpasses your expectations and dreams. Sure we spend a lot of time on design files, spreadsheets, vendors and production schedules but we are a friend, guide, and confidante first.

A note from Susan
I took over the helm of Save The Date! Events in October of 2015, and I am ecstatic about this company! Now in our 11th year, we have consistently been rated as one of the top wedding and event planning companies for the Colorado Front Range, as well as the mountain communities. We have achieved this not simply by planning parties that are a lot of fun, but by having an extraordinary passion for the work we do, a commitment to excellence, and an unsurpassed creativity and vision in our design. We succeed in creating exceptional events because our focus is not on following the trendy, but letting the personality of the guest of honor or company always be our guide. I look forward to continuing and growing this tradition in the coming months and years!
At little about me…
I am a Colorado native and have spent most of my life on the Colorado Front Range, but with considerable time in Europe and on the East Coast. I grew up a stone’s throw from the iconic five star Broadmoor Hotel and Resort in Colorado Springs, and my family literally celebrated almost every significant event there. But it wasn’t all about glamour. We also played by the lake and fed the ducks, skated at the long gone arena, and watched rodeos from the now-vanished stadium, all in the shadow of Pikes Peak. I don’t know if it was because of this unusual and magical influence, or my family’s strong artistic background, but from the time I was small I have been captivated by the creation of what I call the “magic of dynamic atmosphere” – from the tiniest vignette, to the grandest backdrop. Even my dollhouses were emblematic – festooned with handmade linens and drapes, and graced with candelabra and Louis XIV chairs, with pretend windows looking out on snow-capped peaks!
Practicalities took over and I became trained in the law and running a business. But I have always continued my study of art and design, as well as creative movement and costuming. I have many years’ experience planning and designing events for my businesses, for charity, and of course, friends and family. I am positively bursting with ideas to help you make your own dreams and visions come true!
