I started Save the Date Events in 2005 after becoming certified as a planner, working with other event planners and getting involved in the local events industry. One of the biggest reasons that we have built an incredible reputation at Save the Date Events is because we care so much. We care deeply about our clients and will do whatever it takes to create the event they have been dreaming of. Personally, I accept a very limited number of events per year so that I can also manage the business and marketing so that our team can focus solely on event planning and design.
A note from Debbie
I have been privileged to design weddings and special events at some of the most beautiful locations in Colorado. It is truly an honor to share this incredible time of celebration with our clients. I am passionate about events AND about Colorado. I can’t imagine living anywhere else. I spend my free weekends visiting different mountain towns to hike, ski, climb and explore the local restaurants. I’m always scouting new wedding and event locations and take time every month to tour venues so that our team has the latest knowledge of Colorado venues, hotels and private homes. When I’m not working on events, hiking a mountain or skiing, I love to read, travel, hang out with my sidekick (i.e. my 5 year old daughter) and spend as much time as possible with my wonderful husband.
I tend to develop close relationships with my clients and have been known to shed a happy tear or two on the wedding day. I am always smiling ear-to-ear when a child walks into his or her birthday party that we helped plan and design. We all strive to go the extra mile to ensure your experience with Save the Date Events surpasses your expectations and dreams. Sure we spend a lot of time on design files, spreadsheets, vendors and production schedules but we are a friend, guide, and confidante first.

A note from Amber
I stand out as a planner because my job is more than a job to me…it’s my passion. My goal is always to deliver events that are fun, remarkable, and most importantly, completely personal for my clients. I feel lucky everyday to be able to throw my energy, creativity, expertise, and passion for design behind making sure that their story is told with every detail. And even though I fantasize about the world of weddings and events at nearly every waking moment, I admit to a few other loves in my life: food and wine; art and music; family and my cats; traveling and playing – all of which give me a joy in life that I’m proud to play out in this wonderful state of Colorado. I love being a part of this fabulous company and this amazing team. I can’t wait to meet the next special couple that wants help in planning their very special event.

What makes me different? Well a lot of wedding planners can recommend vendors and create timelines and spreadsheets that will make you go cross-eyed. I guess what sets me a part is my unique way of laughing through the planning process and connecting with my clients on a personal level. There are a lot of stressful moments and tedious tasks when it comes to planning, if you find the humor in every situation planning can be really fun! The joy of planning for me comes together when I fix the brides gown and look down the aisle to see the grooms reaction when he sees his bride for the first time, I seem to cry every time and I love it! I hope that my clients see me as a voice of reason, a valued resource, a creative genius, and last but not least a friend to laugh with. Weddings are a time of happiness and I think planning should be no different!

Gabby started her own wedding and event planning company in Austin, Texas a year after graduating from Texas State University, where she got her degree in fashion and apparel merchandising. She moved to Denver shortly afterwards, met Debbie soon after and began her career at Save the Date Events in 2007. Gabby loves to follow fashion trends and especially enjoys Bridal Fashion Week each year showcasing all of the new gowns and accessories. An experienced wedding and event planner, Gabby is easy to work with, warm, enthusiastic, and very organized – the better to keep you and your event organized and running smoothly!
A note from Gabby…
I fell into the wedding industry when I was interning at Texas Weddings Magazine, organizing both bridal fashion shows and assisting with advertisement and marketing for the magazine. I had no idea how much I would grow to love weddings: they are an important life event joining two people and two families together, and are a whirlwind mixture of joy, love, and happiness (and a little bit of stress, but that’s what I’m here to help with!). I have been in the industry long enough to see trends come and go, to experience new and exciting tools to help our brides (Etsy! I can’t tell you how much I love Etsy!), and to know and understand the exhilaration that comes from a beautifully-planned wedding.
In December 2012 I had a little boy named Hudson, who we couldn’t possibly dote on anymore than we already do. My husband and I love spending time with our bundle of joy and with our other beloved, four-legged family member Murphy, a golden-lab mix. We also spend a lot of time acting as hosts to the constant stream of visitors from Austin (where our families mostly still live) – they can’t seem to get enough of this beautiful state!
